I understand why people are drawn to fewer choices. It can quiet the bargaining for a while. That does not make it magic, and it does not make it right for everyone.

The better question is what a habit is doing to the rest of the day. Is it making a person steadier, or just giving him one more thing to argue about?

Food should make life more honest, not more theatrical.
